Asics Tiger Gel-Lyte III Ranru Pack

Categories:Designer Shoes

No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you, this isn’t a pair of Adidas or Nike shoes (which is what I mostly wear these days when sneakers are concerned), but something new from Asics Tiger that will be launched worldwide sometime in mid-June. And why is it here, you ask? Well, for starters I’m a sucker for most anything denim, couple that with the fact that the technique used to piece the patchwork together is Japanese (again, who doesn’t love anything Japanese) and I’m 85% sold.

Paying homage to the traditional Japanese craft of boro that dates back to the 1800s rural Japan, craftsmen sew together scraps of leftover textile to form a distinct patchwork pattern that’s not only beautiful but extremely sturdy as well. And with the upcoming unisex Gel-Lyte III Ranru Pack, Asics does just that, with two pairs in different colours, one in Peacock and the other in Indigo Blue.

Finished with gum soles that set off the stitched denim beautifully (look closer and you’ll see the logo intertwined into the sneaker), they will be priced at SGD199 a pair and will be made available at STARTHREESIXTY and Limited Edt come 17 June 2017.

Recently, there’s a hobo trend going on at the house of Louis Vuitton, but we also need to say that their hobo’s are getting prettier and lovelier. Remember the Louis Vuitton Tuileries Hobo Bag, another hit in the fashion world. But now let’s introduce the latest Louis Vuitton Triangle Softy Bag, just launched for the Spring Summer 2017 Collection. This bag is inspired by Nicolas Ghesquiere’s search for the essence of Parisian elegance; this piece is a statement maker.

What we’ve seen Louis Vuiton doing more these days, is transforming normal handles in braided handles. This new design looks modern and fabulous; it creates and interesting touch to its overall appearance. The body features the house’s iconic monogram canvas and the modern monogram reversed canvas. The bottom edges are refined with black leather and golden studs for an urban look. And we’ve to say that the black leather on the handles, on the sides of the zip and the corners do enhance the golden hardware that has been embellished around the bag. It just shines.

The bag is made with double-faced construction, if you look closely, there is a zip option on the top, but there is also a zipper on the side. The side zipper opens another small pocket for your instant-essentials, and although it looks stunning, the side zip might be not so practical for security reason.

Here are the details:

Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Triangle Softy Bag
Size: 17.7’ x 12’ x 6.3’ inches
Prices: $2540 USD, €1880 euro, £1750 GBP, $3200 CAD, $21700 HKD, $3350 AUD, ¥308880 JPY

These Apollo and Artemis diamonds may soon sell as the most expensive earrings in the world

Categories:Jewelry & Watches

Sotheby’s is known for getting the grandest of things under the hammer. And they are set to do just that at the exclusive ‘Magnificent and Noble Jewels’ sale in Geneva on the 16th of May, 2017. Amongst a series of precious items that will be auctioned here, the star is touted to be a pair of exceptionally beautiful mismatched earrings valued at a staggering £55 million! (708,58150 US Dollars)

Created exquisitely from two odd colored diamonds, the earrings shine beautifully in a pear-like shape. Named Apollo and Artemis after the Ancient Greek gods of power and beauty, the diamonds are cut and polished luxuriously into the form of danglers. While the Artemis is a fancy 16-carat Intense pink diamond worth £14.5 million, the real thunder-stealer is the Apollo – a 14.54-carat ‘Fancy Vivid blue diamond’. Since, it’s a rare phenomenon for a gem to acquire this grade, its estimated price stands at an astounding £40 million!

Marketed as ‘The divine diamond twins’ by Sotheby’s, the earrings further showcase a perfect match in size, cut and tonality that is worth battling for. The awe-inspiring pair will however be auctioned separately owning to their extreme rarity, power and presence. This means that buyers will need to fight doubly hard to own the pair as a whole. Well, all precious things as they rightly say, need to be earned and not merely purchased!
